The musical race for Eesti Laul 2026 has officially kicked off, and as the band’s #1 supporter, I can barely contain my excitement! This week, the journey toward Vienna began with the special broadcast 'Eesti Laul 2026'. Start, where we finally got to hear all 12 competing tracks and see their official music videos. The lineup is incredibly diverse, featuring everything from rap to powerful rock vocals, but all eyes (and ears!) were naturally on our girls. Vanilla Ninja is back with a track titled 'Too Epic to Be True', written by the legendary Sven Lõhmus. It’s a nostalgic yet modern rock-pop anthem that perfectly captures the 'rebel rock 'n' roll' spirit we’ve loved since the early 2000s.
This year’s selection process is as prestigious as ever, hosted by the dynamic duo of Karl-Erik Taukar and Korea from 5miinust. The 'Start' program gave us our first glimpse into the high-production music videos, which are now available for streaming on Jupiter and the Estonian Radio mobile app. While the competition includes heavy hitters like Noep, Ollie, and Getter Jaani (who is also performing a Lõhmus-penned track!), the buzz surrounding Vanilla Ninja’s return is undeniable. Out of the 12 songs, seven are in English, including the Ninjas' entry, while others explore Estonian and even Ukrainian lyrics, showcasing the broad cultural reach of this year’s contest.
As we prepare for the grand finale on February 14th at the Unibet Arena, the energy is already at a boiling point. The show promises even more surprises, including a new performance from Nublu and a unique 'Dream Band' collaboration. But for us, the real headline is seeing Lenna, Piret, and Katrin reclaim their place in the spotlight. With 'Too Epic to Be True', the girls are proving they aren't just legacy acts—they are here to win. Grab your tickets from Piletitasku, because this year’s finale is going to be a historic night for the Ninja family!
